A Reading man has been charged with sending numerous unwanted emails to QVC host Lisa Robertson over two years, professing his affection and asking her out on dates.

Andrew Nils Groten, 48, of the 1500 block of Hill Road was arraigned Monday before District Judge Chester F. Darlington of East Goshen Township, Chester County, on a harassment charge.

Groten remained free to await further court action.

Westtown-East Goshen police said they filed the charges after Groten disobeyed several warnings from police and QVC security to stop contacting Robertson. The QVC studios are in East Goshen.

Court records available Thursday show Westtown-East Goshen Detective Jason Lange called Groten and warned him to stop calling Robertson.

Investigators said Groten first sent an email to Robertson in May 2010. Robertson, who hosts a show on the home shopping network that offers jewelry, clothing, appliances and various household items for sale, showed the email to Jeff Buss, head of QVC security.

Buss told police the letters were not threatening but were unwanted and disturbing to Robertson.

In one 2010 email Groten told Robertson he could hear her professing her love for him over the television during her shows, investigators said.

Buss sent two certified letters to Groten and followed up with a call warning Groten to stop contacting Robertson. Groten told Buss he would have no further contact with Robertson, investigators said.

Buss said the emails started again July 28, and he contacted Lange on Aug. 8 and asked that a detective call Groten. Investigators said Lange called Groten and he agreed to have no further contact with Robertson.

Investigators said Groten sent emails to Robertson on Sept. 16 and Jan. 28.

In the Jan. 28 email, police said, Groten admitted he had been asked a year earlier to stop contacting Robertson but was doing so anyway. Groten continued sending emails until the time he was charged, records show.

Robertson and QVC obtained a protection order barring Groten from contacting Robertson and from coming near the QVC headquarters or Robertson, according to court records.

I'm not sure what the subscription rate is for eHarmony or match.com, but it will be MUCH cheaper than the legal fees, court costs, fines, and other financial hardship this MORON is going to suffer before this is all over.

The moral of the story: Most of the lovely ladies what we post caps or videos are out of our reach, gents (or other ladies ). That special someone is out there waiting...you just gotta look.

When a nutcase like this has mental issues, and live in a fantasy world where they cannot separate reality from fantasy...those sites wouldn't help them. Those that harass and stalk people have serious mental issues and need psychiatrist help.

I find it ironic, one of QVC's excuses for not posting the hosts schedules online is for reasons like this. But yet the same day this became public, on Lisa's fb page. Someone asked if Lisa was on that night, the person that helps Lisa out posted that she was off and wouldn't be on again till Friday.

I wonder if she will wear white pants tonight?

This is why I worry about this hobby of capping and creating videos.

It's one thing to enjoy looking at attractive women.

It's another thing (but still OK in my mind) to be a fan and watch all those attractive women do on television, looking for uppies, and down-blouses, --- all the stuff that makes being a guy fun and an important part of the life of any well-rounded perv.

When you start emailing, and chasing them on social media sites, and calling like this rump-fister did -- its time for the sleeveless dinner jacket.

Look, just don't touch, call, stalk, or in any way imagine that these women will somehow be attracted to you.

Some dumb psycho a-hole is going to seriously cross the line, then the NOW mob and the rest of the feminist wolfpack will blame the capping communities and they will all be shut down. Like we don't have enough of a hyper-sensitive society as it is.

It's a shame that nutjobs like him almost ruin it for everybody else. I'm almost surprised that the shopping and news networks allow the talent to have social media accounts which make them that much more accessible. It never helps when the one bad apple is rotten to the core.

If they weren't threatening she should have got rid of them and moved on, People in the public eye needs accept the fan mail even if it seems one person is writing excessively or get out of the public eye.



Emails/letters are nothing people in the public eye has to expect to get fan mail and sometimes mail from the ones frequently, It's in the emails/letters that could be concerning, Confessing affection is common take Elvis Presely he got mail like that all the time and lots times it was from the same people.

That sounds like the guy is schizophrenic and cases involving schizophrenics never end good unless stopped early, Now that alone should be enough to get the guy locked up.

The judge did something very dangerous he took man who appears to be a schizophrenic amd was arrested for harassment of someone they are obsessed with and apparently thinks the feeling are mutual, The judge should have held him for psychiatric exam because if he is a schizophrenic this could trigger a violent episode which could include going after the object of his obsession and a piece of paper won't stop someone with a mental illness.

Any email or letter that those in public eye receive that they find disturbing they shouldn't disregard them, Lisa did the correct thing by notifying QVC security about them. We only saw an example of one email, with itself is disturbing. We haven't seen every email that the nutcase sent.



This was just a bond hearing until they have the trial the Judge could only issue a restraining order. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 23. This article goes into more detail, then the one that was posted.

Yeah, you gotta leave some things alone. I gave a local anchor a compliment on how they would do segments away from the desk and sit at a small round table, she said it was her idea, but I just kept my thoughts to myself on her leg shows and a handful of dangles if the camera angle is wide enough.

OT, our other stations, 2 channels and their little sister stations combined, had an open house this weekend and it was good seeing the personalities up close.

It's losers like him that make it a little embarrassing for the people who do cap and post videos. I seriously hope none of these hosts or models ever came across my video page on YT and placed me in the same category as this jerkwad.

Yep, there's a fine line between okay and psycho. Love watching the babes and the caps/vids here, but do I wanna send those babes gifts or emails? Not really. Do I dream of marrying them? Ummm no. I'd never even make an attempt to meet one of them in person.
There is no harm in fantasizing from a distance, but if it crosses over into reality like with that dude, then you are in trouble!
I too am shocked how QVC makes their hosts be so active on Facebook. Especially Lisa R. considering her troubles with stalkers in the past. It's not a very good idea for them to be so public with their personal lives!
