How do you tell when they are gonna be on? Went to a site for QVC and didn't see anything. Do you have to be a member of each now to see the schedules?

QVC does not post when hosts are going to be on unless it's a host pick show or a weekly show where they have the host names on the title.

HSN does on their regular schedule and Evine does here,

The best way to find out when a particular host is on. Is to go to their QVC fb page.
A couple hours before a host is on, they usually will make a post saying what show they will be hosting that night.

Yeah now that I think about it I think QVC at first changed the way they did it and then stopped it alltogether because some of their hosts had gotten stalked.

The stalking issues isn't why they stopped listing the hosts schedules online. If it was they wouldn't have the hosts name in so many of the programs. In 2009 QVC changed to a narrow branding programming format and changed how the hosts are scheduled. A host might be originally scheduled to host a show at a certain time and if the programming changes, the host schedule changes.

Considering the stalking issues, it always shocks me how active some hosts are on social media these days. The bosses at the shopping channels obviously ordered the hosts to use social media as a form of promotion for their channel, but some of the hosts go beyond that and are very open about their personal lives. That surprises me. But hey we get occasional bikini shots so I have no complaints. :)

QVC does require the hosts to have fb pages, as a way of making them relate more to the customer and to promote the products. The hosts are also given performance reviews on how they interact with their fb followers and their activity level.
The hosts are really in a no win situation. If they don't share anything about their private life, some start rumors about them, say they don't relate to them, etc.... Then when they do share their private life, the same people say that they are sharing too much. I have seen many times 2 hosts make a similar post about their private life, a fb follower will love one host for doing it and then trash another host for doing the same thing :Crazy

Does that also explain why so many of the YouTube QVC videos
wind up with completely wrong host names in the titles?

(Although it shouldn't -- if a video gets posted after a show's already over,
then how clueless is their social media department that they can't tell one host from another?) :?

That is just incompetence on the part of who QVC has uploading the YouTube videos.
