No rumor about it -- she wasn't offered an extension on her contract, and if the show even gets renewed for this fall, all accounts say the number of episodes will be limited to about half a normal season. The network wants to basically do a quick farewell season on the cheap -- another cast member was also dropped. Stupid way to close down the show --but that's why.
