Several well-known newswomen were also beauty pageant contestants. Ladies like Diane Sawyer, Phyllis George and Shannon Bream come to mind. But are there any local ladies who still compete well into their stardom on a local level? Who lady who comes to mind is Mia Nelson. She is an anchor at WTVY in Dothan, Alabama. Before her tenure there, Mia was an anchor/reporter at ABC13 WSET.
