Give credit to Gretchen for changing the toxic culture at FNC.

Yeah, it looks like she really opened the floodgates.

This was a smart move by Fox - a move they didn't want to make because they had renewed his contract a few months ago. But with all of the settlements and subsequent accusations the message Fox would have sent would have been that sexual harassment of any kind is unacceptable unless you have big ratings.

Anderson Cooper had Kirsten Powers on and she told a story about her sitting on a panel with Margaret Hoover while taping his show and O'Reilly messed up Hoover's name during the intro and he said it was because there were too many blondes on the show (Megyn Kelly was due up next after them). At the end of the segment O'Reilly said something like "OK, enough with the blondies" or something and Powers took offense. She went to The Factor producer to complain and he/she talked to O'Reilly and came back and said O'Reilly wasn't going to apologize. The producer told Powers something like - "Look, Bill is an Archie Bunker type. What are you going to do?" So Powers boycotted his show for a year or two and brought it up with Roger Ailes when she was sitting down with him and Ailes basically told her that O'Reilly was too powerful (i.e. his ratings and seniority at the network) and there was nothing he could do. Powers said she gave O'Reilly another chance and while she never got an apology O'Reilly behaved and they had a decent working relationship. But after watching that I thought about it and do remember her disappearing from his show for a long length of time and then reappearing out of nowhere.....I chalked it up to her being rotated to the panel on Bret Baier's show or something.

Hopefully this will lead to a continuation of cleansing the culture at the network because from the way many present and former women who worked there describe it the place was out of control in terms of looking the other way when it came to harassment charges.

Golly, Bill...maybe you should have married some woman who would have defamed, discredited, and destroyed the women who dared accuse you of sexual harassment over the years.

I will stop right here and let the general public figure it out.

Powers got offended by that? She seems like a miserable woman.

Gutfeld, Watters and Beckel sounds like a meeting of the MENSA Society. NOT.
Boling finally gets his own show took him a while after greasing the skids on GO-GO. I hope it bombs.

I no longer find FOX very interesting. I'll will be tuning fOX out on my TV. FBN AM is the only good show and it's interesting least to me. I dibble in the stock market and its good to have a show like that on before the opening bell.

It's likely that O'Reilly used his usual sneering, insulting, demeaning tone of voice when he said it. It's also very likely that this was far from the first time Powers heard sh*t like that from him directed at women. The guy is a turd.

His statement blaming this on "unfounded claims" is bogus.
ALL sexual harassment claims are unfounded---it's only you and the other person there 99% of the time.
How is the victim supposed to "prove" anything?

Bottom line with me is, he did it to himself affecting many ladies.
I wonder what most of the ladies were saying about this (mostly glad-this-sorry-episode-is-finally-over) news. :x

I'd also like to hear from the women at FNC who were defending Ailes when this all started.
They've been pretty silent.

Alisyn Camerota was on Reliable Sources today
She said Roger Ailes propositioned her
Said they should work closely together, outside the office in a hotel
She turned him down
Later on she said she was passed over for promotion because she wouldn't toe Ailes' conservative line
She didn't come out and say it, but she initimated that was one reason Fox hired someone "less qualified (Elisabeth Hasselbeck) to host F&F instead of her

Guessing it wasn't Gretchen Carlson though at that time Alisyn was pregnant at that time and you could have made a case that Kiran should have gotten the job.

At one point, O'Reilly would even cut off any callers who said the name "Keith Olbermann" (his then-rival on MSNBC) on the air, and would forward the caller's info to "Fox Security" (whatever that is): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qrk2AFmvi-I

That's :censor up. One thing, you don't know if he going to said something positive or not. Don't dismiss him automatically because he mention Olbermann. Also you don't threaten viewers, no wonder what his radio show didn't last long, also it might help the case of Andrea Tantaros. If they do all of that to someone who mentioned the name Keith Olbermann then what will they do to someone accusing the boss of sexual harassment?

I hate to beg to differ a bit, but Liz Claman is still doing it but with the fact that the camera angle in which she sits at the desk is more to the center than the right side prior to June 1, 2015--things have not been the same.

The only other time you can really seriously get enough leg action is FBN:AM, sometimes on Maria Baritoromo's show, and After The Bell. But it is nothing like it was in the first four years of Fox Business, when they did Happy Hour. That show was a lot of fun to watch, but most of the time the shows are mostly :censor :blah unwatchable.

Fox News, on the other hand--they still have it morning and night.

Which shows on Fox should I be followng. Ive been looking at the "Five", Kimberely has gone to the "knee length" skirts lately, as has Sandra Smith. Gretchen's lawsuit will have a lasting affect on skirt lengths; and TV ratings in the future.

That's a good choice, considering The Five is now in primetime.
Liz Claman at times is great, especially when she goes on the road.
Otherwise, After The Bell would be a good program to watch.
