This story popped up a couple of days ago, but might have gotten lost in all of the political news...

Seems that the Today Show has extended an olive branch out to Ann Curry, to start featuring her more often in her
"special correspondent" role and give her more air time overall in a hope to boost the sagging ratings:

So now, they've really painted themselves into a corner -- not only are they trying to (kind of)
give Ann back to unhappy viewers, but they also have to dodge more potential screwups by
working to keep Savannah, Natalie, and even Lauer happy all at the same time.

The problem is...they don't know what the problem is. They don't have a clue. :Crazy

Heard today GMA has passed TODAY as top morning show on the broadcast networks. Amy knew when to leave and on NBC, NatMo and Savannah ARENT the problem.

So far, they're not the solution either. Today's ratings started to fall with Ann there, so what NBC did to her isn't too blame for GMA taking over. Today show as a whole needs an overhaul, starting with Al Roker. He stopped being funny a long time ago

I've heard nothing about Meredith that sounds anything like the Curry situation.
Meredith's apparently happy with doing the occasional popping up for a story there, or on
Rock Center.
The bulk of her time is at "Millionaire", and that's not likely to change since she wants it like that.
