I guess this is just the rumor phase. My initial thoughts are to be against such a move but who knows Erin on a morning show could mean much more Erin legs! http://www.mediaite.com/online/new-cnn-chief-eyes-moving-erin-burnett-to-mornings-for-ratings-boost-according-to-report/ |

If Zucker makes this move it should be interesting as it is an obvious ratings move and what they've done so far hasn't worked. Soledad's show is modeled after the Morning Joe format so if that's out the window I don't know what to expect but if they have Erin and some guy behind a desk reading headlines then the show will fail. If they couldn't make a dent with Kiran Chetry and Christine Romans on a couch then I'm at a loss.... |

It's the way they present what news they present that makes them fail. Did anyone see when Jon Stewart came on The Larry King Show during its final weeks. Larry asked him why he ragged on CNN so much? Jon said because there is no meat behind their coverage or shows. "You have two guys on opposing sides...{I think Coke tastes great}, {I think Pepsi taste great}...you both make good points...that's all the time we have for today." You have to see the video to appreciate the argument but he has a point. CNN is the most boring a$$ cable network on-air. Shuffling personnel aint gonna cut it. They have to revamp their format altogether. I'd rather watch an hour or two of Fox or MSNBC than CNN any day. I mean looking at the women is ok but I still think with my "upper head" and I like to process what i'm seeing or listening to, so i can form an opinion either way. That's damn near impossible watching their shows. |

Moving a person thought to be a ratings boost to a lame time slot seems like the ultimate "push" How about scratching the whole network and revamping it next year with a new style and new format... |

You are spot-on in regards to shuffling the personnel around......they have had one heck of a time trying to find someone to succeed at the 7pm slot and it comes to a point where they need to stop blaming the talent. Stewart's point is well-taken in regards to the network being cowed into not showing any "bias" by bringing on two opposing views when there are times when it is just not necessary. Beyond that, Stewart's critique is difficult to follow as he holds up Fox as a role model yet disdains the network as nothing more than propaganda. To me it seems that CNN cannot figure out who their target audience is and ends up blaming the messenger. I really don't know what they should do in regards to programming but if ratings are the goal then what they are doing right now is not working. If Zucker wants to move Erin to the A.M. then if I had my way I'd pair her up with Kate Bolduan and put them on a couch but that was already tried with Chetry and Romans. They would need to find someone that will have good chemistry with Erin as she had with Mark Haines on CNBC. |

When she was on CNBC and also the Business report on Morning Joe,her personality shined through brightly, while doing her job effectively. But when watching her on CNN you'd think that she was one dull a$$ chick. CNN can make the most talented person unbearable to watch. And I don't have a clue as to what they can do to change things around at this point. |

I really don't care about the content of the shows I just want to see Erin, she could be speaking gibberish for all I care. But I guess that puts me in the minority. |

I agree she was smoking hot on Today without any desks, round tables or glass tables in the way.I really wanted her on Today too. Think it would have been great having her and Lester Holt w/ Natalie doing a more newsy show. I can't stand Lauer and the other girls on there doing so many hokie segments. It's like watching e! or bravo. |

No, you're definitely not in the minority on that. Let me run CNN and Wolf Blitzer is shipped off to CNN's Antarctic bureau and Kate Bolduan co-anchors with Erin in the mornings. Susan Hendricks and her knees take over the Situation Room and Piers Morgan is sent back to the UK just because he's annoying. |
