Post subject:  Kiran Chetry updates
In news that made my day to say the least thatguy told me that Kiran will be doing a report for NBC Rock Center.

She is on a freelance contract. How much KC airtime will we see in the future? I don't know yet. Hopefully Kiran will answer that question soon.
But since it feels like forever since I've seen her on TVImage

Nice to hear, but hooking up with a show that's already struggling in the ratings isn't the best move
she could make. Still, if NBC can find her another good spot doing something, maybe it will pay off.

glad Kiran is coming back, but "more than 20 months" away!! wow, what the ??????

I hope she becomes a big part of other NBC/MSNBC platforms. Unlike others, I'm not really a fan of most of the current "newsbabe" offerings from NBC/MSNBC.

And now we have Betty Nguyen freelancing for NBC/MSNBC, things are looking up for a good 2013!

I'm curious to see how thin Kiran is. She has always been thin but from the twitter pics she has sent out it looks like she has gotten even thinner. I just hope that big a$$ is intact. :)

One reason they're struggling is she's no longer there. There are others of course, centered around the philosophy that got rid of her.

Bad management.

They rarely let her do any reporting at CNN, and it's a shame because I think it's a strength. This piece was pretty well done, and the subject matter is perfect for her. I wish they had room for her at Today.

She looks noticeably thinner in the caps you posted. Still looks good though. :shades

When did NBC ever "get rid" of Kiran? Until this Rock Center gig, she's never been on NBC before.
What place are you talking about? CNN?

I was talking about NBC's Rock Center being a struggling show (which it is), and how much positive can come
from going on a show that isn't doing well.

I keep checking her twitter for updates on another gig but haven't seen anything since the Rockcenter note. This was too short, but nice to see her working. She is best for live TV though. She handles it well and looks amazing when on screen. Let's hope she is planning on making a bigger comeback this year.
