I can't believe no one has mentioned this news story. I cut and pasted it this morning but had to run and now I can't remember if I saw it on Yahoo or HuffPost or Buzzfeed that I read all the time. I'm hoping maybe this means the end of Doocy and Kilmeade. :Thumb

Comcast NBC Universal to Acquire Fox News Channel

NEW YORK, April 1, 2016 -- Comcast Corporation Chairman and CEO Brian L. Roberts and Fox News Channel (FNC) Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes today announced that FNC has agreed to be acquired by Comcast. The acquistion also includes Fox Business Network (FBN). "Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network will ensure that Comcast NBC will remain the dominant broadcasting and cable company for decades to come. With this merger, NBC will expand its reach into even more households and businesses throughout the United States and internationally," said Comcast NBC Universal CEO Stephen B. Burke. Ailes welcomed the merger saying, "Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network are worldwide names in news, opinion and business . We are delighted to be a key part of the largest player in the world in our business."

Burke indicated that for the most part programming will not be changed, but he continued, "We are looking forward to using FNC and FBN reporters and personalities on NBC news and other programs and vice versa. The highly successful Fox and Friends morning program will be renamed Red in the Morning and although it has a large and loyal following, we believe it has even more potential. Nothing is off the table, including additions and changes to the team to appeal both to its core viewership and to attract new viewers. FNC's top-rated opinion programs The O'Reilly Factor and Hannity may also be adjusted to appeal to a broader audience."

FNC and FBN will be part of the new NBC Red division, reportedly renamed to reflect its appeal to conservative audiences. Ailes will be its Chairman and CEO. "I look forward to working with Steve [Burke] to make NBC Red a major contributor to NBC Universal," he said.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed and regulatory approval is pending.
