The exodus continues. I never watched Greta for her looks and I thought she did a great job and loved her show. If she wasn't your cup of tea thats cool but no reason to defame her. Plenty of ladies there for eye candy. She just was never one of them. I hope she has good luck with whatever she does next and with all these ladies leaving at once eventually Fox News is gonna have to go on a hiring spree. |

Good luck to Greta....she was very active on her Fox website and seemed to value her viewers' opinions. Nothing against Brit Hume, but they couldn't have found someone with, I don't know, more energy? Maybe it's just his verbal cadence but he can put me to sleep. |

According to Howard Kurtz, Hume filling in but doesn't want the job permanently. So perhaps a news babe will eventually get the job. Howard Kurtz reporting: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/09 ... ction.html |

Sad. I met her when I was a volunteer during the RNC in Tampa in 2012. Had coffee briefly with her one morning (I paid). She's fairly attractive in person and is as personable and nice as she comes across on-screen. |

Easiest thing to do would be to give Shep his hour back But BOR or Hannity might exercise their clauses after the election |

Howard Kurtz reporting: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/09 ... ction.html Brit just said he is there through the election. I cant blame Fox. Brit is a good veteran old school reporter. A great choice for an election cycle. |

To me, she was always about the NEWS part of Fox News. I do remember checking into her blogs a long time ago. Also noted her respect and concern for Catherine Herridge when she had her medial issues long ago. From what I understand, she left FNC over financial disagreements...the same day FNC (or Ailes) settled with Gretchen Carlson for$20 mil. Greta backed Ailes when Gretchen made her allegations. Greta was a serious journalist and an earner (i.e. led her timeslot in the ratings). And now she's gone over money? Waaay too much WTF going on at FNC. I wonder what the network will look like in November. |

CNN's Brian Stelter has more info. on how things went down with Greta - A courier arrived at Van Susteren's Washington, D.C. home at 9 a.m. Tuesday, hand-delivering two letters that said that Van Susteren "was being taken off the air" immediately, according to her husband, John Coale, who is a high-profile Washington lawyer. Van Susteren was already planning to leave, but she thought she would be hosting her 7 p.m. program "On the Record" for a few more weeks. Yanking her off the air without a chance to say goodbye was "a bit immature," Coale remarked. http://money.cnn.com/2016/09/06/media/g ... index.html Sounds like the opposite of "you can't fire me.....I quit!" |

OMFG. Can we be any less classy slash professional FNC? And let's throw all our dirty laundry out in public where your rival networks (as well as the Big Three and Comedy Central) can have a field day. Let's just be publicly stupid about how we handle our personnel matters.

she had clause to use before new contract came up. so she to clause that better for her. since with all problems going at station better to step away then work on new contract. since with all problems going on the new contract might get what both want. since person that gave it to her gone. also fox has other major issue to take care of. so going to be hard for them right now. |

Greta apparently had a clause in her contract that said she could leave if Ailes ever left. She seems like a nice person and a competent news personality, but she has always annoyingly talked out of the side of her mouth and she hasn't worn a skirt on the air in like 20 years. Plus the whole Scientology thing strikes me as a little weird. I think I could excuse all of the other stuff, but she hasn't worn a skirt on the air in 20 years. |

Van Susteren being gone doesn't bother me I couldn't watch her show anyway. She was the black sheep(different) of all the ladies at FOX. My guess the next will be Megyn Kelley her audition for her own primetime prime network news show was a bust. She labored through that fiasco. Where she goes who knows. I am assuming all to the FOX ladies have non-compete clauses which means they may have to be on the beach for awhile before taking another job. |

Courts have a tendency to invalidate non-compete clauses if they prevent someone from earning a living in their field, unless the employer continues to pay them to make up for not being able to work. |

Things were gonna go to hell when Linda Vester left (or was booted). Then things were gonna go to hell when ED Hill was booted Then things were gonna go to hell when Kiran Chetry left and on and on and on. There's always a newsbabe ready to move up. Hopefully, there's someone who wants the title of "New Queen Of The Upskirts" waiting out there to make an impact. |

Every state has different laws about non-compete clauses. An example in Pennsylvania they are valid. When a host leaves QVC they always have to sit out a year before going to another shopping channel or doing media work where their likeness is used. In general all non-compete clauses can be amended at anytime. Kiran Chetry was able to start at CNN without sitting out, while Alisyn Camerota did. |

so it looked like she had clause in her contract and when bloke was let go. she took clause and got out. not sure why she had that clause regarding the bloke. so looks like she was on his side. |
