She comes by way of WCCB, the CW affiliate in Charlotte, North Carolina. Similar to Ginger Zee, she grew up in Michigan but went to Central Michigan for school.

Kaitlin takes the place of the popular Tammie Souza. She starts at Fox32 in mid-June, according to longtime Chicago media columnist/blogger Robert Feder:
