Tomorrow is Brooke's last day at CNN. I hope she does land up somewhere. Probably a podcast or something.

If the mere announcement she would be leaving went 3 1/2 minutes, I can only imagine what the actual goodbye will run

Also, can’t find the link but I thought I read a TV blogger speculate that she could wind up replacing a guy I never heard of on CBS morning news.

No offense, but most of these people seem fairly interchangeable to me, if one replaces another at this network or that one, do the numbers ever really change that much?

CBS News has been in flux for some time. Executives/Producers have left or been replaced at CBS and ABC news divisions recently. Wouldn't be surprised to see Brooke co-hosting or even as correspondent on a broadcast network at some point in the future.

It's going to be a weird newscast for sure. How do you mix a farewell episode with news of a mass shooting?

You don’t, IMO.
Cover the news.
It’s not about you.
(Or at least it shouldn’t be)

Of course. I'm just talking about the "last segment" that everyone who has left a broadcast position has ever done. To transition from such a hard hitting news story to saying your goodbyes. That transition must be hard.

Well, her final words were definitely a parting shot the "boys club".

She's a good looking woman she will be missed on CNN.

Ana Cabrera anchoring Newsroom from 1-2pm. After that, from 2-4pm, Alisyn Camerota and Victor Blackwell will co-anchor Newsroom.

Well, off to browsing through Brooke's archives. :Thumb
