Katie has seen it all since starting her TV career in 1979. Worked at all three networks, CNN, a daytime talk show that tanked in the ratings, and now has her own podcast on YouTube. In a Puck podcast called "The Grill Room", host Dylan Alexander had an one hour plus long conversation about her timing of being in the "monoculture"--she mentioned if anyone has enough time to consume so much media in general, and how journalists will navigate these very choppy waters going forward. Algorithms are a part of this, and the way higher-ups visions are all about greed and not about serving the viewers the honest, authentic reporting that viewers expect and deserve.
