Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-2021, the sight of reporters appearing at home was all too common:

Amy Robach from her home during GMA and GMA3
Ginger Zee doing the weather from the lower level of her home
Liz Claman doing her Countdown show from the first floor of her house
And the best setup of all had Karl Ravech, Eduardo Perez, and Jessica Mendoza describing the KBO Baseball League as the cameras showed the action live from Seoul, South Korea at 5 a.m. Eastern time, the only live sports in the early days of the pandemic.

It has been too common in fact that ESPN decided to push the envelope. A lot.

Take a look at what happened during the late night SportsCenter on Thursday with Nicole Briscoe and Michael Eaves chatting with ESPN women's college basketball analyst Monica McNutt.

Expect more of this because their "Embrace Debate" era is slowly coming to an end after nearly two decades (anyone remember Cold Pizza?)

I don't know about anyone here, but I find that very strange, since at first glance it looked like she was sitting on a posh jetliner on her way to some fashion show in Europe.

But with Schefty getting a scoop while on the road, that's ratings gold IMHO.

When was the last time Kyle Brandt appeared live in studio on Good Morning Football? He is the first host shown in the intro, but for the most part he's never there. And when he is on the program, it's either from his home or in a hotel room.

It was earlier this year prior to the merger, back when the show was in New York.

Yeah, I remember in the days when the show was based out of New York, he'd be in the studio all the time. Back in the days when Peter Schrager was still on the show. But ever since they moved the show to L.A he's been appeared via Skype either from home or a hotel. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy the rotating list of cohosts outside of Jamie and Manti. And who would have thought that Seth Rollins would be such an asset as a cohost. But to have Kyle first on the intro kinda reminds me of Johnny Carson in the days when he'd always take Fridays off. He's always first in the intro because he's the last of the original cast of hosts, but it seems that's only to suit his ego.
