As one might expect, Coach Vrabel still has a job.
And Dianna Russini is in worse trouble than when a police officer stopped her in January on a very cold day in New Jersey.

Awful Announcing and The Athletic have the full report:

My initial prediction was that the findings were going to be released on September 8, one day before the NFL regular season kicked off.

So I was off by a few days, but the question becomes--did Dianna's reporting going way too far, or was it your basic "he said, she said" back and forth that other media members barely noticed in the heat of the moment?

Still, the Patriots get off scott free and Dianna is in worse shape than before the New York Post photos became known.

Dianna finally breaks her silence, but offers very little substance:

Nothing of note in what they released, although I certainly didn't expect the Athletic to say "she was out of control and we did nothing to stop it."

it's in their best interests to say nothing too bad happened (although I guess it does raise the question then why did they fire her?)

Insiderdom is all the rage, but the bottom line has always been and will continue to be this:

Journalism still matters.
Words still matter.
Getting the story right is better than being first.
Period.
