For the Dodgers, there is only one further step to move after falling one win short of a World Championship last year: win the whole thing. The Dodgers had some bumps in the road, but they managed to win the NL West for the sixth straight year after beating the Rockies in a tiebreaker on Monday. As for the Braves, they showed out and ran away with the NL East (what is this, the 90s?), winning the division for the second time since their historic streak (1991-2005) ended. Both teams are good this year, but while the Dodgers have the tools to return to the World Series, they have one big obstacle, IMO: Dave Roberts. I still say that Roberts cost the Dodgers last year with his poor rotation decisions; it should have been a three man rotation so Kershaw could have started Game 7--would have been a different story if that happened. I think that Roberts will play himself yet again this year, and the Braves will capitalize on this. Prediction: Braves in five #1 |

I find this stat to be very interesting: What Chris Berman mentioned Friday night on ESPN Radio, he said that of the 10 Dodgers hits in the first two games of the NLDS--five of them have gone for home runs. Otherwise, we would be talking about a totally different series heading to SunTrust Park in Atlanta. |
