This is a fascinating matchup; a team who seems to never lose at home against a team who plays its best ball on the road. The New England Patriots are unbeaten at home this year, and Gillette Stadium has been one of the least penetrable sites in the league. Very few road teams leave victorious. On the other hand, nine of the Chargers' 13 wins this season--including the Wild Card win--were on the road. The Chargers appear to be a team of destiny, while New England looks to avenge their Super Bowl loss from last year. However, this is the worst Patriots team in the Brady/Belichick Era, and many of us have been impatiently waiting for the beginning of the end to continue. We will all get our wish. Prediction: Chargers by 1 #1 |
