As promised, the first head coach of the revived XFL was announced today, and it was revealed that former Oklahoma Sooners coach Bob Stoops will serve as the head coach and the general manager of the XFL's Dallas team. Stoops has an over 30-year career as a coach, but is best known for being the head coach of the Sooners from 1999-2016, retiring in the summer of 2017. The XFL's return will take place on February 8, 2020--six days after Super Bowl LIV. Dallas is one of eight cities announced for the new XFL revival, with the others being LA, NY, Seattle, Houston, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, and Washington D.C. |
