We all heard this: "The Canadiens don't belong in the playoffs." "Their record was too terrible." "They couldn't even beat Detroit." The Canadiens proved their worth in the Qualifying Round by ousting the mighty Pittsburgh Penguins in four games, and now, they are in the traditional Stanley Cup Playoffs. However, Carey Price and his group of merry men have to go up against a Philadelphia Flyers team who tore through the East Round Robin--entering at #4 and beating Boston, Washington, and Tampa Bay to get the #1 seed. IMO, it showed that even the pandemic didn't derail the winning tear Philly was on before the pause, and this very interesting series should see the Flyers advance past the Habs. Prediction: Flyers in 6 #1 |
