The Oakland Athletics and the Houston Astros facing off in the postseason; another first time ever scenario. Though I have to ask: how could this happen? I mean, I'm supposed to be as objective as possible, but I can't be the only one who was drooling over the possibility over the Astros losing in the Wild Card series. However, we all forgot that the Minnesota Twins can't win playoff games. Lost both games, scored only two runs total. So we have to deal with the Astros for just a bit longer. The A's were one of the two teams who needed a deciding third game in their series, but they defeated the White Sox to win their first series in over a decade. Now the Division Series won't be the same this year, as bubbles are in place. The American League will play their series in California, and while Rays/Yankees will take place in San Diego, this series will be played at Dodger Stadium. All I can say is, the Astros should be glad that no fans will be there. So really, while there will be no true home field advantage for the rest of the postseason, this is close for the A's. With that said, Oakland should take this, but it'll be close. Prediction: A's in five #1 |
