For some reason I can't use the bulk up loader in photobucket. Message says java version needs updating. I downloaded the latest version. restarted the computer and still get the message. I notice that the java icon isn't in the menu bar at the bottom. any clues? |

What browser do you use? I know that I use FireFox and use the "NoScript" function which blocks any java unless you specify otherwise. If you use FireFox, maybe check your downloaded extensions. |

If the Java icon isnt showing in your system tray you can enable it by going to start/settings/control panel/java goto the "advanced" tab and scroll down to miscellaneous put a tick in the box where it says "place an icon in the system tray" |

Thanks - the computer acts like it isn't installed but when I check it says it is. |

Id try removing Java (from add/remove programs) in control panel, Run CC Cleaner to clean up the registry,then re-boot and finally go onoine and download Java again, Chances are its a bug in the latest version of Java and hopefully they will have fixed this and the new version you download should work. |

Thanks, it worked. I started removing the updates, starting with the newest until it started working again. |
