Post subject:  Spyware and Profiles

I use two profiles on my computer. Recently, I had a problem with spyware on one of them. I did the cleaning out and everything but it continues to show up. In fact, after the last sweep, it said there was nothing to get rid of. Anyway, I went over to my over profile and that works fine. On the first profile, I couldn't use the Internet or even see my task manager. A real bummer. Anyway, how do I fix this and how is it possible for the two profiles not to be affected at the same time?

It's very common for a profile to be affected but not another. It sounds like that's what happened unless it's a problem with Windows itself. There is no real answer to this since every case is different. If the virus scan software you're using isn't catching it, then I would try something else to see if catches it. Also make sure your virus definitions DB is updated as it could be something new the app is missing.

O, it's common. I'll work on using the scan software a couple of times first. Maybe try another one. My subscription is up in 30 days or so anyway. How do I find out about this DB thing?

Yeah, I have Malwarebytes but before I used it I did a couple more scands with another antivirus software and all was well. Anyway, it seemed odd to me that it would distinguish between the two profiles.
