OK, this is a rather dumb question but here it goes...recently I have copied some old VHS tapes to DVD, and I want to know what is the fastest and easiest way to get those vid clips from the DVD onto my computer in a AVI or FLV format? Again please keep in mind that I am completely stupid to all terms when it comes to this kind of stuff!!! thanks! |

Since you burned a VHS to DVD, you don't have to go through any DVD ripping since no security code has been put in place. You need a DVD player on your computer. When the comp asks to play the DVD, decline and go into the drive that the DVD player is in and click open. And copy the DVD files onto your computer. Once the files are one your computer, use a clip making program to import the DVD files, edit and make the final clip. I use womble for the editing. If you don't have that program, Google and DL. It is a great program to use. I know this is kind of generic but until I know what you are using, this is the best I can tell you.
