So I got a Hauppauge HD PVR today and I'd thought I'd try it out. I recorded a leg cross by Rachel from Un Nuevo Dia that i had on my DVR. I think I used .M2TS instead of .TS by accident.

The video seems bland in color compared to the image on my TV. Irfanview wouldn't play it so i couldn't get a screen capture.

Here's the link https://rapidshare.com/files/3079583056 ... _1_36.M2TS

If anyone wants to download it and tell me how bad i messed up :jetserl

I'm not one of the technical-minded cappers here, but it looks pretty good to me. :Thumb

I have the Colossus installed internally, same composite cables coming out of my DVR, but right into the computer. The recording is done with WinTV 7 as a *.ts file. We should record a couple minutes of the same show and compare. I'll hook up with you on PM.

mozes...that's very clear and sharp video!
The trick is getting non-blur caps off it...that's been my problem with the HD PVR2. It's not the PVRs fault...need quick snap software...so trying out a few atm.

...looks good though...

Video looks great. :Kool

Here are some caps from it. Just use vlc player to play it and make caps.

Looks good to me! What are you using for video editing? I tried doing video using VideoReDo but I could never get the clips to join properly(always kept timing out before finishing) so I gave up on it. Maybe it's cause the VideoReDo I was using was a pirated copy.

I use smplayer instead of vlcplayer for my caps cause I think it looks better.

Nothing. I just used the Total Media Extreme the came with it to record this vid. I didn't edit it in any way.

I need to start looking for some software that allows me to slow down the video in parts, for like uppies and such, and to allow me to combine smaller vids. Like to make highlights of Gretchen.

That's what the VideoReDo is supposed to do. But it keeps timing out when I try and join together the smaller vids so I just gave up on it and stuck with doing caps.

Let me know if you find a good program to use. Look forward to checking out your work! :Thumb

If you want to join vids there is a free program called virtualdubmod you can use.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualdubmod/

Just make sure the vids you are trying to connect are the same format. For instance if you want to connect Gretchen vids from different days it would work fine because those are all the same format but if you try to connect a Gretchen vid with an Erin Burnett vid it probably will give you an error because the CNN and Fox formats are different HD definitions, audio etc.,,,
