As much as I want to post more HD videos, my current method keeps producing hiccups and frame hitches. The HDPVRCapture software I use with my Hauppauge can convert my M2TS recordings to MP4, and I use Quicktime 7 to edit the recordings, but if I use Quicktime 7, MPEG Streamclip or iMovie to convert them, the videos all have varying levels of glitches, even if I use multipass encoding and/or just let my MacBook sit there and convert the video and not do anything else in the background. I'm wondering if there's any Mac software out there (preferably free or cheap) that can edit and/or convert M2TS files directly, as this might help get rid of my conversion issues. The only option I can currently find in the Mac App Store costs $45, so I'm hoping that there's something slightly less expensive out there.

Yes, I realize that I could probably count the number of regular HD contributors with Mac setups on one hand, but hey, it can't hurt to throw a stone out there if it hits something.

Have you tried Handbrake? I believe it will convert M2TS files. I've used it to convert TS files in the past.

I've been using MPEG Stream Clip. It might not be compatible with the Hauppauge H.264 codec.
