I got this message today from someimage.com "Due to ongoing abuse of our services, SomeImage is no longer accepting new uploads. Please back up your files." |

Pictures and galleries are still up. You will have to go to the posts to see them but they are still up. I wonder what the "abuse" was. |

The second line of the message gave an email address for abuse that started with "dmca" so I'm guessing it was excessive copyright infringement. They are also advising people to backup what they uploaded but I don't see a way to do bulk downloads so I'm not doing that. |

Due to a multitude of reasons, including financial, management, and abusive behavior, SomeImage will be closing. Please backup your files as soon as possible. Abuse Contact: dmca@someimage.com It was the best in my opinion.  I refuse to use or open anything on the other storage sites used on this forum that are filled with porn and viruses. Hopefully we can find a safe new storage site! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

SomeImage isn't the only site with troubles recently. Ning's parent company also went out of business and the hosting site to the Activity Pit was sold to another company. Ning then raised the price of hosting. That is why the Activity Pit (Red Eye fan site) may be closing soon. I thought it would go dark after Halloween, but it's December 2nd and it's still up. Is this the beginning of another dot-bomb? |

That's it. someimage is gone. The URL no longer has a DNS entry.  I've switched to imgbox.com for now. |

Is there now a way to view images that were posted previously on someimage.com or are all the images gone for good? |
