I'm looking to start re-editing a movie I shot on film a long time ago and instead of taking it to a production house, I thought I might do it myself from home.
So what do some of you recommend? I want something that can do it all... like some of the cool effects DamianVonBarone does in his videos. Thanks!

I was waiting to see if DVB would reply to this since you mentioned him specifically, but I don't think he's seen it. Might want to send him a PM to see what he's using.
Other video editing software include Nero 7 which has Nero Vision as a part of the bundle, Cyberlink PowerDirector, and Womble Mpeg Wizard. If you do searches you can get more info, and some of them even have free trials.

XP has windows movie maker. With some practice, it can do some good things with WMV files.
