Let me start by saying I'm not a technical person at all. However, I really enjoy the videos posted here and I've started using rapidshare as a free member because of that.

Now to my problem, I can't seem to get things to download correctly tonight. The Erica Durance segment on the Bonnie Hunt Show I asked for looks like it's downloading, but it never plays when it's done.

I've downloaded the VLC Player due to recommendations here, and it's worked fine. However, now the videos seem to go automatically to my Real Player (which just says connecting.....).

Also, when I press the download button on rs, it doesn't give me the option to save it (as it has in the past). What am I doing wrong?

so when you click on any video now it defualts to real player. I would say you need to make vlc media player your default player.

All you have to do is right click on a file, go to open with, then check the last item which should be choose defualt program.

From here you should see a new pop up with options for possible programs that will open the file. Select vlc and them make sure that you check mark in the bottom left....Always use selected program to open this kind of file. That should resolve real player doing anything.


As far as rapidshare goes that is odd. Have you tried going back lately to see if it still does it? Maybe the link has been removed? If you could post the link you are trying to download from that could help

Okay after waiting a few seconds, got the download button and it popped up save like it should. Are you trying to right click and do save as. If so all you do is click on the link and it will pop up for you to save. Then once save is clicked you just let it know where to save it. If you not getting this let me know.

I right-click on the download button and Save Target As... isn't even an active option.

Just click on it and save. No need for save as.
