This thing is the best capper at a reasonable price for HD if you can't do firewire. Even for people who don't want to open up their computer to install a card, it works through USB. The only beef I have is the lack of editing software. I don't mean lack of editing software provided, but the lack of available anywhere. If they had editing software you could set shows to record then go back and edit stuff out.

The options now are to record shows and keep the commercials, record on the fly with recorded shows off a DVR, or to encode the whole show then edit that. All are time consuming. They do provide ArcSoft Total Media Extreme which is one of the best capture, playback, and converting software I've used. It's compatible with other tuners as well so you could possibly use it for an existing card. I can confirm it works with Fusion Gold.

Ive been watching this over at amazon.com for some time now. If they could only get it down to that Dell price though. But at $211 and free shipping I may have to go ahead and get this bad boy!

Just to add to what donkeed has said, the best feature with this IMO is the fact you can record ANYTHING! No worries of encryption and blocked channels :Kool
