Someone pointed me to this little gem. Although it is USB I have been trying to find a sound card for my pc that has optical out and this little gem does. Although I really need the hauppauge dvr this Sound Blaster might be a quick Christmas gift for myself. Check out the site for yourself

Optical 5.1 is a must if you have surround sound. :Kool

BTW, the Hauppauge PVR now supports DD5.1 and 2.0 AC3 recording.
