Wide World of Women

I think I posted these here once before, but I'll post them again. These photographs of the family television were taken by my father, at the probable insistence of my then teenaged sister, fifty years ago today.



And to think that my dad was vidcapping decades before I did. It was in my DNA!

That's pretty darn cool HSF. We didn't have a TV at the time , so I probably saw this at our gilf house. We always spent Sunday nights there to watch Ed Sullivan.

That is cool.

I was barely 2 when that aired, and my oldest sister was only 6. My first attempt at "capping" was in 1975 when I was 13 and I tried to take a picture of Raquel Welch on TV but when the picture came out the TV was blank. My Instamatic was probably too slow.

That was my first TV memory.
I became a major Beatles fan as a result.
