Have to love the mature sexy Ashleigh. Wish she were permanent on that show. We now have to wonder who is going to get MarySol's job. Hope its a nice leggy babe anyway. :lol:

the "want to spend more time with family" is just another way of saying their contract didn't get renewed. i.e. Campbell Brown, Heidi Collins, Laurie Dhue .... :(

Marysol was probably a casualty of budget cuts at Disney-ABC. You know get rid of the more veteran (more expensive) reporters. :(

In her case, I would say probably not. She has two or three young children. I think she is recently divorced too. Also she gets up really early in the morning too. So she probably wants to spend time with the children.

So long as ABC doesn't bungle her replacement--and that's a HUGE if for this network--then it should be a positive. Marysol was okay, but she was stumpy and didn't have much personality. And her fierce dismissal of hosiery was a little over the top. (It's 7am in January in NY, cover up those white birch trees!)

After losing Diane (from morning), Kate Snow, and Marysol, GMA needs a splash-hire of new legs and talent. I agree with others here, Ashley seems like a seamless fit.

They'll probably get Marysol's sometime replacement, JC Monahan. But JC won't be wearing a skirt. :Bang But you're right. ABC has been screwing up the mornings. On the weekends, I would like to see Ashleigh and Elizabeth together...
