Well, it's that time again -- the "nerd prom" as some like to call it. ;)

This year's White House Correspondents Dinner was held on Saturday, 4/27/13...
And, like last year, we're going to try a collaborative effort thread where you can post any of your finds.
(Open to both newsbabes and celebrities)
2012 Edition:
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=158177&hilit=white+house+dinner

Only thing is, this time there seems to be a lack of newsbabe material vs. celebrity material compared to the first 24 hrs.
last year. For one thing, Brooke Baldwin confirmed via Twitter that she did not attend, and her CNN buddy Brianna Keilar
did go, but as you'll see was pulling coverage duty as well. Norah O'Donnell was spotted in some of the arrivals background
on TV, but nothing in photos as of yet.

Still, it is early on and maybe more will surface as the week goes on, and again, please feel free to contribute. :Thumb
Here we go ---

Brianna Keilar, Chris Jansing, Harris Faulkner, Mandy Drury with Liz Claman, Savannah Guthrie, Jamie Colby, JuJu Chang, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Tamron Hall :

Megan Hilty, Hayden Pannettiere (3 photos), Nicole Kidman, Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen (2 photos),
Katy Perry (2 photos), Beth Behrs, Carol Alt, Connie Britton, Amy Poehler, Olivia Munn (2 photos),
Irina Shayk (3 photos), and Kerry Washington with Lara Spencer.

I don't get it. It is supposed to the correspondents dinner but it has turned into the Hollywood types dinner. It would have been nice to see more pictures of our favorite news babes and less of the usual Hollywood crowd.

Agreed, it kind of sucks it turned into yet another Hollywood thing. Not like anyone can't find thousands of pictures of those chicks at events like that with no effort what so ever....

But you have to look at it this way --
The Correspondents' Association wants it this way... this event never got even 1/3 this kind of attention 15 or 20 years ago.
It became a oneupsmanship thing between all the networks, newspapers and magazines once they started inviting athletes, then a TV star here and there, and it evolved into this after a while.

The real problem with isn't that the stars get invited, it's that most of the paparazzi that works it tend to see the newsbabes as "background noise" in favor of the female celebs. The only time they give newsbabes real attention is if they're wearing a plunging neckline, backline, or are showing tons of leg...which they only do on occasion (like Lara Logan, Norah, etc.)
otherwise, it's " Hey, Savannah, could you scoot over a bit? You're blocking our shot of Sandra Bullock" :?

If it weren't for the rise of Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, you'd probably wonder if half of the news ladies were even there.
Their personal shots are what save the day now.

With that said, there's some more material out there today, so here is .....

Abby Huntsman with sister Mary Anne, SE Cupp, SE Cupp and a very pregnant Krystal Ball, Norah O'Donnell with
Gayle King & Charlie Rose, Claire Danes, Alexandra Wentworth, Rachel Sklar, another shot of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and a going-away shot
of Nicole Kidman
;)
