I am going on vacation for two weeks. I will continue to post stuff, but Talk Back won't be back for awhile. In the New Year I will not be returning to the morning show, but I will still continue on at CNN -- in another role.

Carol is fine, but there is a reason that CNN has fallen behind: Carrol should have had air time in the early 00s but she was a fill in or a mid day anchor; Solded was a cutie pie, but then was in limbo for nearly a decade, Banfield is a certain type of hot, but she's been outcast for years. So their idea is to bring back Banfeild and Soledad - how many times 10 years after their prime (again, not mean to bash, but that's Kyran and that old bleach blonde in the afternoon and Suzanne) It's great people have to work their way up at CNN, but, this is tv, not a 30-70s newspaper.

So, Brooke Baldwin is going to work two hours mid day and not be seen and either go somewhere else or just languish, and maybe in her 40s they'll bring her back and then, what in 10 years they'll have an old Kate or Brianna anchor a mid day show or cohost a morning?

Good points. I think it's sad that Carol has had so much work done to her face; she's like the female equivalent of Mickey Rourke. I think it reflects a modicum of desperation to hold on to one's youth in a cut-throat industry. But she's something of a model for the other hangers-on now in their 40s+ that keep surviving tenuously at the network. CNN will never get their programming together; just like CBS will continue to get in it's way with its morning programming. Just certain things you can count on besides taxes and tides.
