This was remarkably daring for a news anchor to do, if you think about it.

Granted, it wasn't Playboy -- but if you're Robin Meade (pretty much Lynne's present-day equivalent),
or Megyn Kelly, or Brooke Baldwin, or Norah O'Donnell, and you try this now you may not get fired, but
you'll at least be called in for a meeting with the suits.

I know, we see the news ladies get glammed up now and then or do a leggy photoshoot from time to time,
but Lynne practically went topless here. We can only assume the then-bigwigs at CNN cleared this first.


(btw --not saying that none of the ladies mentioned above shouldn't try it )

Good point -- and that made me look up to see if the magazine even still exists.
(the Russell issue above is from 1998)

Jezebel is still around, both print and digital, but surprisingly, I can't find any
trace that Robin's ever made their "most beautiful Atlantan" list -- nor has a number of
other ATL-based newsbabes.

She's only been in an article or two, or shots from a party...that's it.
