Starting to think Crystal made the right call of leaving though she would have been safe then again who knows with these execs.

That is pretty much what is happening. It is the "Cure of Martha Quinn" come to life again.

For those that do not remember, Martha Quinn was an original MTV VJ. She left when MTV started piling in programming to replace the music videos. Her exact words were, "They're going to need a separate channel for the music if this keeps up."

Well, they're going to need a separate channel for the weather so as not to disturb Prospectors.

TWC blows anymore as far as I'm concerned.

On the bright side Nichole Mitchell has looked damn good on Al Jazeera. If only it were hi-def.

Since the studio changes the only leg views from the studio are when the OCMs are standing in the studio and it's not that much.
All green screen forecast segments including the 7 Day forecast are zoomed in.
The overall lighting to do dark to.
It's the same at 5pm. No full standing camera shots at the green screen. Only 5 to 10 seconds of them standing in the studio.
The only good thing is since the local forecast bar now at the bottom of the screen it does not block the bottom of the video.

Kim Cunningham is not doing WCL at 7pm. Chris Warren is solo. This sucks! :Tantrum

It appears there is still no set OCM schedule for some shows. 4am-5:30am is using different OCM's.
Tuesday it was Alex Wallice and Jen C. Today it was Alex Wallice and Julie.
As I mentioned only Chris was on at 7pm though they did have Kyla on for a segment talking about the new TWC graphics and studio.

Ok so I have a 55" TV, and the Weather Channel shrinks my screen down to a 32 " screen of actual broadcast, and these really stupid wide bands not only on the bottom but now an even bigger one on the side, what idiot came up with this, please someone find out who made this call, so we can go over to his house and remove his TV and give him a 19 " Black and White TV.

Looking back in this forum, they did use an orange background in 2007 but it had better lighting. This darker lighting scheme is not going to go over very well

Wonder how many people have called and/or emailed to complain to NBC Universal about the changes.

The graphics look nice, long overdue for that.
But so far, that has been the only positive thing that I can say.

Still trying to figure out the regular OCM Schedule.

It appears the OCMs for AM Rush are Maria and Mike.

Monday and Tuesday Julie and Alex Wilson were on 4am-5:30am.
Today it's Jen and Alex Wallace

My guess is Jen's regular schedule is Wed-F 4am-5:30am Sat-Sunday 7am-11am.

Not sure what the regular schedule for Julie is.

Kim is doing segments on the weekday 7pm WCL and doing weather updates on weekend evenings.

Kyla has also done updates on the 7pm WCL weekdays.

There I said it, not as many capping opportunities as there were the old studio. Plus the scheduling sucks with the evening hours cut and you hardly see Danielle and Alex (unless you wake up early or night owl in the west coast with Alex now 4 to 5:30). Starting to think Crystal made the right decision for more than personal reasons.

Even looking at the caps, the background is not easy on the eyes.
That color scheme is just awful, compared to the light powder blue.

Its an all around fail. Total failure on so many levels.
I find it amazing that they choose to marginalize the entire channel over and over again
I refuse to believe that this model works and that the old ones do not
Do people really just look at their phone for the weather? Perhaps
I would think one could get people to tune in by offering a good product instead of this crap.
