Pointless. Everyone has a smart phone these days...if not, they have internet access. Getting the weather from TWC was so 10 years ago. We watched for the women and it's as simple as that. NBC ruined it as we long expected by letting Roker and Cantore run wild and firing everyone worth a manure Besides, 90% of their programming is ridiculous taped stuff instead of actual weather forecasts. Wasting time turning that on and waiting for Cantore or Roker to shut their pie holes so you can see the forecast for your area is mind numbing. Anyone could go on their computer, iPad, or phone and get that info in a matter of seconds. The channel is worthless.

"Sandy is proving to be one bad-ass storm and it takes a lot of people to cover it properly. So for those who said they were surprised to see me today, TWC asked if I could stick around to help out. I am happy to do it for them, but more importantly, glad to help those of you who are enduring this horrible storm. Tomorrow I will be on from 11-3 ET. Until then, my prayers are with everyone who is experiencing the wrath of Sandy."

When you look in the dictionary for the meaning of "class" there will be a picture of Heather Tesch with the caption "see her". Old and corny quote but very appropriate.
All other journalists have just now been schooled.

She is a class act and quite frankly too good for the station. And I agree with Gambit, I only watched for Heather. She's a damn good meteorologist, but if she wasn't beautiful I would avoid the station altogether (and will now that she is leaving). The rest of the women on the station don't do anything for me. Some of them are cute, but Heather was the only knockout. I'd sit through the forecast to get a glimpse of her, but otherwise I use local stations or internet for weather news. I can't stand Cantore or Roker, and their golden girl Abrams is incredibly unattractive, both in terms of looks and personality.

Now what? She made the TWC. This is sad. No decent farewell. NBC is garbage.

Can't believe they are getting rid of Heather. I quit watching after NBC bought em and the way they treated Nicole.

I see she got a chance to say goodbye on air.
Short but sweet.

They let her say goodbye and she proved her awesomeness by actually saying "brain fart" on air. And if any network needed a reason to hire Heather all they had to do was LOOK at her today She'll be missed (more than TWC realizes), and hopefully won't be off the airwaves for too long.

Wow, not in a good way either. That saddens me.
But with NBC what else can you expect.
She has been very classy in her handling of the situaition.
Heather will be missed, there isn no replacement for her.
