Read on another board that Maria LaRosa of KYW-TV in Philadelphia will be joining TWC soon. According to her Facebook page, she'll be joining the network at the end of the month.

Well, she just got her first segment on-air at TWC, giving the weekly planner during the first hour with Heather Tesch and Carl Parker.

She reminds me of Sandra Bennett over at QVC, whom I also like, but IMO, Maria is even more attractive, heck, she even did a very good job with the forecast. Yep, I like...very much. This was an excellent hire by TWC, and dare I say it, but I think she immediately jumps to #2 only behind Heather. She's still expecting, so I doubt she'll be on much over the course of the next few months.

One downside? The fact that her debut was during Heather's show concerns me. Then again, maybe they'll just dump Carl and put Heather and Maria on at the same time. Now that would be must-see TV.

She's attractive. I wouldn't be shocked if she replaces anybody at this point. I'd say every woman outside of Abrams and Carfagno could be gone at any time. Those are the only two they promote anymore. Age is not your friend at TWC, even if you are gorgeous like Heather.

Actually, I think its most likely she's replacing Stephanie Abrams. Considering how often they have Jen Carfagno sitting in during that timeslot, I think they may be planning on moving Stephanie over to NBC.

Whatever the case may be, considering their cutbacks in live weather reports, it seems almost certain she's a direct replacement for someone.

Yes, Abrams is going to replace Roker. Carfagno might get her spot. Still wouldn't be shocked to see Heather gone. I think her and Kim Perez are the least valued women at the station.

We probably won't know if Maria is replacing anyone for a few months since she'll be going on maternity leave soon. The musical chairs on YWT is kind of funny, it's becoming rare that both Abrams and Bettes are in attendance together for their own show for a full week.

Nice to see her again, always liked her. I watched FOX19 in Cincinnati too and she can be fun if given a little latitude. Going to be interesting to see who ends up with what though.

Hmm...sounds like I'm not the only Kim Perez fan around here. I'm working on a few of those too, but its a little tougher due to her schedule. I'm holding off posting more just to keep those earlier Heather caps at the top for a few days, but here's a preview.

Sure would hate to see Kim go. Nobody said it but maybe its one of the guys who will move on. Fingers crossed.

My guess is Nicole Mitchell will be leaving soon. She's due to finish her law degree soon and I bet passes the BAR on the first try.
