On her FaceBook page Announcement: My last day on The Weather Channel will be this Friday. I may still occasionally fill in, but starting next week, I head to a new city and a new adventure! Details to come! I will continue to post here and twitter, but also on Instagram @kellycassweather and my new website KellyCass.com. It's been a great 15 years, and I truly appreciate ALL of you. |

Sad to see her go but happy for her to have had the opportunity to work at TWC. 15 years at one place is a long time for a job in TV. Imagine she'll try to find work in NY state since she's from there. |

Should we get the Bring Back Heather Tesch petition and maybe Bring Back Crystal Egger petition soon? I know that Alex Wilson, Maria LaRosa, Jen Carfagno, Kait Parker, and Vivian Brown likely to stay at TWC for next few years. |

Look at what NBCUniversal has done, They turned the Weather Channel into reality tv, Turned Must See TV number one rated NBC into 5th place network behind Univision,, Took Universal Studios Florida and removed two popular rides Back To The Future: The Ride and Jaws both Universal properties and put in licensed properties. NBCUniversal is in serious need of new management |

Guys, I agree TWC is nothing compared to what it used to be, and is seriously mismanaged by NBCU, but keep in mind not everybody who leaves is being "gotten rid of". We know some that didn't have their contracts renewed, legal disputes, etc., but it sounds like Kelly may be one of the ones that's leaving on her own desire to do so. Maybe she put out feelers for offers and found a station interested... she gets at least a stable schedule, and who knows, possibly better pay. For her to have a job already lined up this fast, plus having her own website ready to launch kind of suggests to me that this was likely her own doing. And frankly, if you were her, why wouldn't you think about jumping this ship the way it's going?  . |

Kelly is only going to Nashville to cover for Maternity leave for a couple of months. She will be back at the Weather Channel, although on a limited basis I believe. Click on link. http://kellycass.com/ |
