What is the consensus here on the AI fakes that are starting to pop up? I'm conflicted about them. They are fantasy, however some fantasies should stay as such and bad taste is inevitable.

The best thing I can say, at least in this early stage is to email somebody and hope that they are a real person on the other end.
If not, verify if they can text you.
And if that doesn't work, just pretend that they exist only in an alternate universe.
Hope this helps until someone, something can figure out what this AI fuss is all about.
