First attempt at an HD video.....

Video: HD m2t 1920x1080i about 10 secs, 64mb

Any tips from the others doing HD video and getting smaller file sizes, I'd love to hear from you. Premiere is the only thing on my capture system that can handle the mpg2 hd video, and that creates the m2t file but its pretty big for what the clip length. I could move it to my CS4 Master Collection PC, but that would mean I'd have to give up a lazy lifestyle.

Should I go the h264 codec route instead?

I'm on Vista64, using DirecTV connected to AVerTV HD-DVR. Possible outputs from the capture card are h264 & mpeg2.

Let me know what you think.
