I Just noticed Neida Sandoval in the preview segment for tomorrows UnNuevoDia am show on Telemundo.
Apparently she was there as a guest December and was invited back this week as a guest co-host.

Yeah, Neida's been there for a couple months now. I think they're trying to build up into her becoming a full-time co-host, which would be great.

Neida, Ana Maria Canseco, and Rosana Franco all got really raw deals from Univision when Pamela Silva's husband took over the network and starting making wholesale personnel changes. I understand that they wanted to go to a "younger" direction, but they could have handled things better than they did, by basically kicking out hosts who had been on the network for years.

So I'm glad to see all three of them landing on their feet, although I wish Rosana was on Telemundo instead of ESPN Deportes of all channels.

Is she going to be on Un Nuevo Dia? I thought I saw that Fernando character from the old "D A' on UND last month also. With Ana Maria in a prominent role already, Why not just bring them all back from the old Despierta show and call the show Despierta II?

That might be part of Telemundo's plan actually.

A lot of people were upset over how abruptly and unceremoniously Ana Maria and Neida were kicked off of Univision. I'm sure Telemundo tried to pick them both up a couple of years ago, but they both wanted to take some much-deserved time off and go on vacations and spend time with their families before working again, so now Telemundo has been easing them in gradually.

Un Nuevo Dia wasn't going to beat Despierta America head-to-head as long as it was a battle of Telemundo's younger talent vs. Univision's younger talent. But by bringing in the old Despierta America crew, I'm guessing Telemundo thinks they can capture the older demographic who still enjoy and relate more to Ana Maria, Neida, and Fernando, which would give them a chance in the ratings battle.
