Looks like Veronica has left Univision and is now with Azteca America.
Interesting move for her career.
She definitely seemed to be growing apart from Univision over the past year or so though - she hasn't made a TV appearance from inside the Univision broadcast headquarters in Miami in ages (I don't believe she was ever even on the new Primer Impacto set), instead doing all of her pieces from their Mexico City office, and most of her stories have concentrated on Mexican issues as well.
But with her father's health problems recently, and her son and boyfriend living in Mexico, I guess it's not that surprising that she wanted to move closer to her family for work.
Although, this marks yet
another notable Univision TV personality who has either slowly parted ways with the network or been outright fired since Pamela Silva's husband took over and began making wholesale changes to everything in 2010.
Either way, I'm glad to see Veronica taking over the co-anchor spot for a major news program, she's always been one of my favorites from the Univision lineup, and her run on Primer Impacto in 2010 when she stepped in for Barbara was incredible. The bad part now is that I don't get TV Azteca, so I can't see her anywhere now except maybe on Youtube once inawhile.
Here are some recent portfolio shots Veronica took for her official website:
