After 36 years with ABC 13 WSET, Noreen Turyn has announced her retirement.



I remember Noreen from the early days of Good Morning Virginia. Later on, she switched to the evening news. First, as a reporter, and finally as the lead anchor and managing editor.

Noreen announces that July 24 will be her last day at WSET.

I just saw the reaction to the previous video which was also posted onto Facebook. Many of us grew up with Noreen. At last count, I saw at least 2,000 replies. Noreen is the most senior "on air" personality in my area. Pattie Martin is actually the longest tenured "employee", since she started as an intern in 1987.
