I was wondering what the idea of creating a private torrent link for WWOW for video content and such.Sence HD content tend to be large files and it just takes for ever downloading from file host when you dont have an account.Just asking my self I do not like downconverting video clips and would post more full interviews and shows this way.

Ive been hosting this for a couple month now.

Interesting concept.

I am familiar with bit-Torrent in how it operates. I guess it would depend upon how many members would leave their computer on all the time to allow other members to DL parts of the file and thus creating more hosters.

Discussion guys?


BTW... I moved the post to the Tech Forum since I thought this was the proper place.

I turn my computer off when I go to bed and turn it on when I get up so during that time wouldnt be able to download anything off my computer

My computer is rarely (if ever) off, so that's not a problem for me.

The issue I have with posting the uncompressed HD stuff is my upload speed, or lack thereof. I have done it in the past a few times though.

I've found out is that it's still more time-friendly for me to edit/encode and upload an AVI than it is to upload a full, uncompressed clip. I would, however, upload uncompressed stuff if it was requested, and no one else was able to post that particular subject.

I suppose I could just leave uploads for the end of the night before I go to bed though.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that idea. You would have to presume that people will be able to figure out how to download it. People have problems downloading from one click hosts like RS, so I'm almost certain you'll have some people having problems with it.

In the end, I'm all for whatever is easiest for a capper to post. More content is always good.

Are you offering to pay for and run the tracker server?
