Yes, they worked together with Marhsall Seese back in the mid-2000's. Couple of scandinavian (I assume) ladies from our version of the Great White North, lots in common, lots to talk about for them.

The weather channel has been getting on my nerves the last year or so anyway. Too much programming and not enough weather. It used to be you could always tune in, especially on weekends and see what the weather was going to do. Now it is rerun after rerun of storm stories or something similar, rather than the up to date information they used to provide.

Secondly all of the opinion crap coming from that idiot metrosexual Bettes regarding global warming and our dependency on oil drives me crazy. The day I give a damn what that fool thinks is the day Alzheimers has totally taken over my brain.

Thirdly living out on the west coast, I am tired of being ignored. While we were being hammered in Northern California with massive power outings and an unusually cold pre Thanksgiving snow event to very low elevations we were lucky to get a glance as they jawjacked endlessly about nothing going on of any consequence in the eastern half of the country.

Bottom line they have gone from an informative source to a politically motivated agenda pushing east coast biased piece of junk. Don't get me wrong some of the gals are great, they have to take the directions given them but the quality and information on a daily basis has gone down hill.

I agree...the station has gone down hill ever since their founders left (e.g. Ray Bann) several years ago. As a Navy trained meteorologist living in coastal Mississippi I cannot stand the sensationalism that they portray as soon as a storm enters the Gulf...and then there is the omnipresent Jim Cantore - as soon as he is on air..I am off.

I believe NBC's headquarters are in NYC...so it stand to reason that they'd concentrate the bulk of their coverage in the north east. Most of their changes to programming seem to be geared toward attracting advertisers....revenue driven programming. TV is a business unfortunately, and we the viewers aren't in the mix anymore

Lose the biggest joke of all...Al Roker...NBC shouldn't even be considered a network anymore...they're all junk.

The four biggest wastes of space are Roker, Abrams, Bettes, and Cantore. If you got rid of them, TWC would go back to being a respectable station. But they are run by NBC, which really hasn't been relevant since Seinfeld went off the air, so nobody should be surprised how inept they are.

I agree with you, housefloor. Except, I would keep Stephanie. She's a hottie and acts more normal when not around Al Joker. We should never suggest getting rids of any babes without having a direct replacement in mind. That would be about the time that the idiots in charge at TWC would actually listen to us "experts".

Yep, I agree with keeping Stephanie.....she actually has a met degree and she is so good looking. I especially love it when she calls a fast moving system a "weather quicky"....
