CNN HD's bit rate is rather low too. I notice a lot of pixelation when shots change and I'm not even looking that hard. It's blatantly obvious for the first 2 seconds after an angle change.
Glad I'm not the only one that has noticed; I always wonder what the cost savings is to networks/broadcast infrastructure to skimp on the quality.
I know its more complicated than this, but when I see the weekend GMA couch shot that's all grainy and blurry, I say, "would someone go down to Best Buy and buy GMA an HD camera for crying out loud.
