:ditto

I bet he ends up back on the next season of Celebrity Apprentice as a fill in judge because Donald Trump loves him

I heard they may be trying to woo Jay Leno into taking over Piers' spot. That would be interesting.

The last I read the head of CNN is denying that rumor(but we all know a denial isn't always true), That being said I don't think Jay Leno would do good in a prime time slot(I think we all remember the Jay Leno Show) he's a late night king, I think he should try for a 11:00 or 11:30 slot over on the Fox Network and if that fails get a syndication show for that time slot

Somewhere I read last year they wanted Bill Weir to host a show so we'll see if that happens.

Still standing by my New Years prediction that Ann Curry gets Piers job.

Same way with Stuart Varney. Don't need to mentioned what he is anti.

You read my mind.

Varney was OK when he was a reporter at CNN paired with the lovely Deborah Marchini
Unfortunately, Deborah ended up in PR and Varney's TV career continued :Crazy

Won't miss Morgan at all, but I have to say one of the funniest things I'd seen on cable news last year was when Morgan had that lunatic Alex Jones on for a debate.

And no one that I personally know over in england wants him back. One of my english friends suggested we hog tie him, sedate him, drive him over the border into Canada and dump in a wilderness area somewhere. Feed the bears don't ya know...

The Guardian in the UK blames CNN for not being right or left wing for it's dire ratings.

So they are filling that time slot with that Smerconish dude?

probably a fine broadcaster and journalist, but a 9 pm slot?????

I'm certain he'll get crushed in the ratings by both Kelly and Maddow.

hah!, he did beat Dr. Drew though....

I could see this guy in an obscure weekend time slot, but not week days prime time; CNN has to be nuts...

On a different note, I had no idea "New Day" turned a corner and is beating "Morning Joe"; I hope this continues just for the sake of a good ratings fight; TV gets better with competition

CNNs ratings have been up since the plane disappeared but if the ratings stay up and get closer to Fox and Friends' ratings, Elisabeths dresses will have to be cut by an inch or two
