This is possibly GREAT news. I have Brooke's show in my series manager on my DVR but her show has suffered greatly from a lack of in-studio guests. Way too many shots from the shoulders up with guests on satellite.

Just hope they don't put her behind a desk.

First step in CNN moving out of the ATL for good.

Exactly right. Since EVERYONE seems to be in New York, this would mean more in-studio guests with Brooke.

Though CNN is moving shows to NYC, Turner still has CNN International and HLN based in the CNN Center in Atlanta and so I'd guess some of their shows would move over to the CNN Atlanta studio.

For those reasons mentioned above plus others, it wouldn't make too much sense to
totally abandon operations in Atlanta.

They've got this huge complex sitting there, owned for over 30 years --complete with the indoor mall, gift shops
and tours. It's a prime tourist destination and it's right next to Philips Arena as well.

It would be like NBC selling off and leaving 30 Rock... it may happen one day, but not anytime soon.

For me this kind of stinks. All depends on the format and set.

The best shots were in Atlanta for Brooke and she had plenty of legs on the show between about 2011 and late 2012. The format of her two hours changed in 2012. She still showed leg, but the old red couch, later a beige couch, changed and she just used stools or a chair where she anchored from. I am 50-50. Her short-lived 30 minute show on CNN, from New York, stunk and others have used the set for longer shows. But the show might improve and back in 2011 when she did go to New York she did show legs. I am in wait and see mode.

I hope you mean like the weekend show which has decent leg. But the weekday New Day format is just so dull I could fall asleep to it. And since Today Show is nearly the same format now, I quit caring. Except for the occasional sit out on hour three with Natalie. But hour three has gone downhill from what it was two years ago. Hour two though has began fading in recent months and I don't think it is just because Guthrie is pregnant. The use of Tamron is not my cup of Tea, but even she gets nothing great.

I was actually referring to NYC's New Day set, not the weekend set (which is Atlanta's Studio 7, same as used by Brooke and Carol on the weekdays).

If you think New Day's set is dull, you haven't been watching Erin Burnett lately. If Brooke moves to that set for her show, it will be awesome.

There's nothing wrong with Atlanta per se, but with all the journalists and pundits having moved to NYC over the past year the folks remaining in ATL are out on an island. In the end it's better to centralize the operation......if they wanted to maintain CNN's Atlanta roots then they could have moved everyone there but NYC is where all the action is in terms of cable news.

The results of the move of CNN Newsroom to NYC are,
Carol does her show from the newsroom behind the regular leg blocking table as Ashley Banfield does.
Brooke does her show from the same newsroom except they take part of the table away and replace it with a leg chair.

But was there any wide shots like the pic above during the actual show? I doubt it.

On TV, multiple wide shots only down to her shins coming out of commercials. If you were watching on CNNx, full wide shot as there is no ticker at the bottom of the screen.
