Wow, just like when Ginger Zee announced in 2011 around this same time of year.

Fittingly, Robert Feder said on his Twitter page some very strong words and I couldn't agree more:

"Mark my words: NBC 5 will regret letting weather star Cheryl Scott get away."

Others that have gotten away since 1976 from WMAQ in Chicago who went onto more prominent national assignments included:

Jane Pauley
Deborah Norville
Paula Faris on the sports beat

Such a shame :blah .

Like we usually say when people decide to find work elsewhere, I am sure Cheryl will land on her feet and find something cool in the end.
